Simple Chicken Curry


A rustic and quick chicken curry I'm going to share here. This chicken curry is made without coconut. You don't need any special ingredients for making this chicken curry. With basic ingredients this curry tastes yummy. Give it a try .

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 15-20 mins

Ingredients: 

Chicken - 750 g
Onion - 1 big
Tomato- 1
Green chili- 3
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder- 1 tbsp
Coriander powder - 2 1/2 tbsp
Fennel powder- 2 tbsp
Cumin powder- 1 tsp
Pepper- 1 tsp
Coriander and mint leaves- 1 cup
Oil- 2 tbsp
Salt to taste


Procedure:

1. Take your ingredients.



2. Heat oil in a cooker and add the sliced onions and green chillis. Saute till the onions becomes translucent.



3. Add ginger garlic paste and stir well till the raw smell leaves.


4. Now add chopped tomatoes, coriander leaves and mint leaves and saute well.


6. Add the garam masala, turmeric powder and chilli powder, stir well.


7. Now add the coriander powder, fennel powder, pepper and cumin powder.. Mix well all the masalas and add very little water.


8. Add the chicken pieces and coat well with the masalas. Add 1 to 1 1/2 cups of water to it and pressure cook for 1 whistle ( the chicken which i used gets cooked in one whistle, based on your chicken , cook accordingly).



9. After 1 whistle turn off the heat and wait for the pressure to be released. Now transfer it to serving bowl.


Simple chicken curry is ready. You can have it with chappathis, rotis and so on..
