Jalarappam / Malaysian Net Crepes / Jalar Roti

Jalarappam is an authentic Malaysian net crepes which is made in a special mould. It's a special recipe from my mom. The special mold looks like a ladle with 5 holes.

Preparation Time: 15 mins
Cooking Time: 10 mins

Ingredients:

Maida- 2 cups
Egg- 1
Coconut milk- 1 cup
salt to taste
water as required

Procedure:

1. Take all you ingredients.

2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.

3. After mixing shift them to the blender and form a smooth batter.

4. Transfer the batter into a bowl and pour a big ladle of the batter into the mold.

4. Heat the non-stick tawa and with the help of the mold pour the batter to make net like crepes (some pattern).

5. Transfer it to a plate and fold as shown below.

6. Serve hot with spicy gravy.

Note:
Keep a bowl under the mold to avoid leaking of the batter from the mold when holding and while preparing the crepes take the batter filled mold from the bowl and draw some patterns to make the crepes.
