Ghee Rice


It is an authentic and traditional style of ghee rice recipe. This ghee rice is very aromatic and flavorful. The addition of milk and yogurt advances the flavor of this ghee rice. A perfect non-veg spicy curry with this ghee rice tastes heavenly. Try it and enjoy the real taste of this ghee rice .
                                                                                                     
Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 30 mins

Ingredients:

Basmati rice- 2 cups
Water- 3 cups
Oil- 2 tbsp
Ghee- 2 tbsp
Onion- 1
Tomato- 1/2
Green chili- 2
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Cinnamon Stick- 1 piece
Cardamom- 3
Cloves- 3
Milk- 2 tbsp
Yogurt- 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves and Mint leaves- To garnish

Procedure:

1. Prepare all your ingredients. Soak the rice for 20 mins.




2. Heat oil in a cooker. Add the spices(cinnamon,cardamom and cloves) and saute it.


3. Add the onions and saute until it becomes translucent.


3. Add ginger garlic paste and stir well till the raw smell leaves.


4. Now add water and salt.
   

5. Once water starts boiling add the rice and tomatoes then mix gently. Now add ghee to it



6. Once it is 3/4 done add yogurt, milk and mix gently.





7. Cook the rice by keeping the flame in high for 5 mins and low for 10 mins. Place the whistle when it is in simmer.

8. When the rice is cooked turn off the heat and serve hot.


Flavorful ghee rice is ready and you can serve it with any spicy gravy.
