Rava kesari is a South Indian sweet which is often made in our home. It is a easy recipe made out of semolina, a pinch of food colour and sugar
Preparation time-5 mins
Cooking time-15 mins
Ingredients:
Rava- 1 cup
Sugar- 1 cup
Water- 3 cups
Ghee- 4 tbsp
Cashew- 10
Milk- 2 tbsp
Procedure:
1. In a pan, add ghee and roast the cashews and keep aside.
2. In a wide kadai,add 3 cups of water, a pinch of food colour and milk and bring it to boil.
3. When it starts boiling add sugar.
4. When the water starts bubbling, add the roasted rava and stir continuously.
5. When it starts to thicken, add the roasted cashews along with the ghee and mix well and cook for 2 mins and switch of the flame.
6. Serve hot.
