Vegetable Briyani / Pressure Cooker Veg Briyani / South Indian Veg Briyani


We are all fond of chicken briyanis and mutton briyani , in that list i present you this one pot yummy vegetable briyani. Give a break for non-veg briyanis and munch on this delicious veg briyani. This recipe is easy to prepare and its really a flavorful one too. So hope you will definitely try this ..


Preparation Time: 15 mins
Cooking Time: 30 mins

Ingredients:

Basmati Rice- 1 cup
Carrot, Beans,Cauliflower- 2 cup
Onion- 1
Toamato- 1
Yogurt (not sour)- 1/2 cup
Milk- 1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Green chili- 3
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Ghee- 3 tsp
 Oil- 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves - few
Salt as needed

For Grinding:

Red chili- 2
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Pepper- 1/2 tsp
Cloves- 2
Coriander leaves- very few

Procedure:

1. Prepare all your ingredients. Soak the basmati rice for 20 mins.


2. Heat oil in the presuure cooker. Add the sliced onions and saute till it is translucent. After the add the ginger garlic paste and saute well.


3. Add tomatoes and green chili and stir well. Now add turmeric powder and mix them all together.


4. Add the veggies and mix well. Then add the grounded masala and give it a good mix.


5. Slowly add the soaked rice and fry them gently for 1 minute in low flame. Then add salt, yogurt and milk and mix well.


6. Add 1 1/2 cup water to it and cook for 2 whistles.


7. Yummy and tasty vegetable briyani is ready.
