Ginger Mint Lemonade



Lemonades are always a healthy option and a fabulous refreshing drink. Unfortunately, fresh herbs are often ignored and only used for garnishing the dishes. But herbs also contains wide variety of nutrients and offer a significant number of health benefits, Mint is a powerful herb that has one of the highest antioxidant capacities of any food. Here I'm glad to post a healthiest refreshing drink with a punch of most delicious flavors.

Preparation Time: 15 mins
Serves: 6 glasses approx.

Ingredients:

Lemon- 3 nos.
Mint leaves- 1/2 cup ( tightly packed )
Ginger- 2 inch
Water- 6 glasses
Sugar to taste
Ice cubes- for chillness

Procedure:

1. Prepare all the ingredients. Washed and cleaned.. (Try to use fresh mint leaves to retain the green colour of the drink).


2. Squeeze the juices from the lemons.. Clean and cut the ginger roughly. Pick the fresh leaves from the mint.


3. In a blender, add roughly cut ginger and mint leaves.


4. Grind it to a coarse paste.


4. In a vessel, transfer the blended mixture and add sugar, lemon juice and ice cubes.. Mix well strain it through a strainer. Pour it to a chilled glass. Your refreshing drink is ready.


5.Serve chilled.


Notes:
1.Try to use fresh mint leaves. Else the drink gets dark colour.
2. Serve chill for better taste.
