Potato Roast Semi Gravy


A perfect and easy side dish for chappathi. When you are lazy and you want something quick and easy to be made along with chappathis or pooris you can go for this as it takes less time to prepare. Most of us like potatoes especially when it is fried than the boiled ones. In this recipe the potatoes are fried and add to the curry so it tastes more good. Then the addition of coconut milk adds extra taste mainly when it is allowed to be thickened in the curry. It gives different aroma to the gravy. Definitely try this easy roast and let us know .


Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 20 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Potato- 2
Onion- 1
Tomato- 1
Green chilli-1
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Coconut milk- 1 cup
Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Fennel powder- 1 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Pepper- 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Salt to taste

Procedure:

1. Take all your ingredients. Peel the skin of the potatoes and cut into cubes.


2. Marinate potatoes with salt, red chilli and turmeric  powder.


3. Fry the potatoes and keep aside.



4. In the same oil add curry leaves, ginger garlic paste and saute well.


5. Now add onion,tomato and green chilli and saute for 2 mins.


6. Now add in the fried potatoes, spices and mix them well. Finally add coconut milk.


7. Cook till the coconut milk gets reduced, so that you will get a thick gravy.



8. Serve hot.
