Ingredients:
Rajma or kidney beans- 1 cup
Tomatoes- 2
Ginger Garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds/ Jeera- 1 tsp
Chilli powder- 2 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tblsp
Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
Kasuri methi leaves- 1 tbsp
Cream- 3 tblsp
Salt to taste
Sugar- 1/2 tsp
Butter- 3 tbsp
Oil- 2 tblsp
Procedure:
1. Wash rajma beans in lots of water and soak this over night.
2. Drain it and pressure cook with a little bit of salt for 3 whistles. Drain it and keep aside.
3. Bring water to a boil. Add the tomatoes and cook for 5 mins. Add the tomatoes to a blender and make into a puree.
4. Heat oil and butter in a kadai and crackle some cumin seeds.
5. Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for 30 sec.
6. Pour in tomato puree and mix well.
7. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and sugar. Cook this for few minutes.
8. Add the cooked rajma beans and kasuri methi leaves. Pour in some of the water from the cooked beans and mix well.
9. Add cream and mix well.
10. Simmer this for 5-10 mins on a low flame.
11. Serve with a dollop of butter and garam masala.
Serve hot with roti.
