Easy Ghee Rice


This recipe is another version of ghee rice. Quite easy recipe but very flavorful one. When you r in a hurry but still need a good rice recipe then surely you can choose this because you can make this in minutes. With simple steps you get a tasty ghee rice. Hope you try it .

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 15- 20 mins

Ingredients:

Basmati rice - 2 cups
Ghee- 2-3 tbsp
Onion- 1
Carrot- 1 small
Peas- 1/2 small bowl
Bay leaf- 1
Cardamom- 3
Cinnamon- 1 inch stick
Cloves- 3
Water- 3 cups
Oil- 1 tbsp
Fried onions, cashews and raisins- 1 small bowl for garnishing
Coriander Leaves- 1/2 cup chopped finely
Salt to taste

Procedure:

1. Soak the rice in the time you prepare the ingredients.


2. Prepare your ingredients. Fry the onions, cashews and raisins in ghee. Boil 3 cups of water for the rice.


2. Heat 1 1/2 tbsp of ghee + oil in a cooker. Add the spices one by one and saute gently.


3. Add the thinly sliced onions and saute till translucent. Don't caramelize them. Because the rice turns brown color after its cooked. Add ginger garlic paste and stir well.


4. Now add the soaked rice and fry for about a minute in low to medium flame. Don't over fry them also don't break the rice, stir gently.


5. Add the boiled water to it and mix gently.


6. Add salt and give a mix. Finally add the peas, chopped carrots, coriander leaves and 1/2 tbsp ghee and again mix gently.


7. Pressure cook for 2 whistles and off the flame. After the pressure got released open the cooker and garnish with fried onions, cashews, raisins and coriander leaves.


8. Fluff the rice softly before serving to get all the flavors. Now you cam have it with any gravy of your choice.
