Brain Pepper Roast

Mutton brain roast is very easy to make. It is similar to egg burji. Also it takes less time for cooking. When you are happened to buy goat's brain, then do try this recipe. Since the goat's brain are very soft, handle it with care while cooking.

Serves: 3

Ingredients:

Mutton brain- 2 medium sized

Shallots- 1/4 kg

Green Chilli- 1

Curry leaves- 1 spring

Corriander leaves- few

Pepper powder- 2 tbsp

Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp

Red chilli powder- 1 tsp

Garam masala- 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Oil- 3 tbsp

Procedure:

1. Gently rinse the brain and clean them. You can remove the blood by gently pinching it off by your hands. Cut them into medium sized pieces.  

 2. Prepare the other ingredients.

3. Heat a kadai and add oil. Add the finely chopped shallots along with green chilli.

4. Saute them very well till the raw smell leaves and shallots becomes soft.

5. Add the masalas one by one and mix well.

6. Add very little water and allow it to boil.

7. Now place the brain pieces in the kadai and gently stir well. As it is very squishy be careful when you mix them.

8. Cover and cook till the brain pieces are cooked well.

9. Now add the curry leaves and coriander leaves give a mix. Cover it and switch off the flame.

10. Brain pepper roast is ready to be served.
